Polaroid Study

 

 

Polaroid photographs give me the opportunity to capture objects, locations, people and moments instantly. Through these snapshots I am able to capture moments that are somehow special to me and keep them. I began doing this when I moved to Barcelona; so all these images have captured some part of my new life. I then asked ten students who all have recently moved to Barcelona to look at two or three of my Polaroid’s and write a word or a phrase on it, anything that came to their mind when looking at the picture. It was an experiment to see what others in the same situation as me, leaving home and moving to this new and vibrant city, would think of when they looked at my pictures. Through their words these images have changed for me, I began to look at them differently and discovered new things in them.
